Overview

PDF Utils ("the app", "we") is developed by DG Developers. This policy covers the Android application published under the package identifier com.dgdevelopers.pdfeditor.

The app lets you view PDFs, create PDFs from images, and mark up images before converting them — all of this work happens directly on your phone. The app has no backend server, no user accounts, and no network calls for its core features. This policy exists mainly to explain the device permissions the app asks for and why.

Data we collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on any server.

Specifically, the app does not include:

• Analytics or usage-tracking software development kits (SDKs)
• Advertising networks or ad identifiers
• Crash-reporting tools that transmit device or file data off-device
• User accounts, sign-in, or any form submitted over the internet

Every PDF you view, every image you convert, and every markup you draw is processed using on-device libraries and never uploaded anywhere by the app.

Device permissions

Android will ask you to approve the following permissions the first time each feature is used. You can revoke any of them at any time from your device's Settings, and the app will simply be unable to perform that specific action until you grant it again.

Local storage

To make the app convenient to use, a small amount of information is saved locally, on your device only:

• Recent files list — file names and paths of PDFs you've opened, so they appear under "Recent" next time you open the app.
• Created PDFs — files you convert from images are written to your device's storage in a location you choose or that the app designates, exactly like any other file-creation app.
• Temporary working files — while editing an image (highlight, underline, strike, or paint), a temporary copy is created on-device and cleared automatically by the operating system's cache-management.

None of this local data is readable by us, or by any other app, or is ever synced to a cloud service by PDF Utils itself.

Sharing your files

The app includes a Share button that hands a PDF off to Android's native share sheet. At that point, you choose the destination — email, chat app, cloud drive, and so on — and that receiving app's own privacy policy governs what happens to the file from there. PDF Utils itself does not send the file anywhere as part of this action; it only opens the system share dialog with the file you selected.

Third parties

PDF Utils does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing services. The app is built on open-source Flutter plugins that run entirely on-device (for file selection, image handling, PDF rendering, and sharing); none of these libraries phone home with your data as part of normal use of this app.

Security

Because your files never leave your device through the app, the main safeguard is the security of your device itself — screen lock, device encryption, and keeping Android up to date. If you open a password-protected PDF, that password is used only in-memory to decrypt the document for viewing and is not stored by the app.

Children's privacy

PDF Utils is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. Since the app collects no personal data from any user, it does not knowingly collect personal data from children either.

Data retention & deletion

All data associated with the app — created PDFs, the recent-files list, and any temporary edit files — is stored locally and under your control. You can delete it at any time by:

• Removing individual files from wherever you saved them on your device
• Clearing the app's storage/cache from Android Settings → Apps → PDF Utils
• Uninstalling the app, which removes all app-local data along with it

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that does transmit data — we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
